It will not work.
If you have a larger screen in a cheap, get the TV lens - Your grandfather will tell you how it works ...

depending on the type of rear-projection TV is when, yes. if a standard glass TV, no tube. Technology is completely different and is not allowed.
Please do not waste your time .. I have a few years ago and the picture is decent enough, but seldom in reality it is impossible to see the quality that was really good, but it was too dark!

I recommend an InFocus IN72, or the Mitsubishi HC1500.
Both are great projectors.

You can make a projector, but it would be so weak and feeble would be happy if it can see the picture.
